ezyGrow raised garden beds

Rod was one of the first to experience growing with the ezyGrow planter. Being an ex-farmer, he knows the joy growing can bring and wanted to pass this on to his granddaughter Cadence and it has definitely worked. In fact they call their planter Cadence’s flower garden, and everytime she comes over she runs straight outside to pick some flowers for mummy. I asked Rod why he liked the planter so much and uses this rather than planting in the ground and he said “because it is just so easy!”

Rod has grown flowers, herbs and lettuces in his planter: “I had so much lettuce from just 6 seedlings I was giving bags of it away”. Rod said the fact the planter is nice and high, but still reachable for his 2 ½ year old granddaughter made growing an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Shirely has always been an avid gardener, and still is a member of the gardening club. But when she moved into a retirement village she didn’t have any space to grow her veggies and really missed. She was one of the first to buy the ezyGrow Garden Planter and has been rapt with what she grow in such a small space. She has grown lettuce, bokchoy, strawberries, tomatoe’s and even zuchinni’s. Also the planter is fantastic as it requires no bending or digging.

The ezyGrow garden bed has proven to be very successful in making it easy to grow your herbs and vegetables. The garden bed is at a handy height, can be on your patio or outdoor area with no fear of mess and of course, the garden moves with you.

One of the major benefits of this product is that it is good for the environment. The feature of capturing all your excess water and nutrients and being able to recycle them mean you don’t waste water and the added fertilizer isn’t leaching into the waterways.

We asked the Horticulture department of the Tafe at Toowoomba to do a study of the water and nutrient efficiency of the product. They have planted up two ezyGrow Garden beds with exactly the same potting mix, a slow release fertilizer and with the same plants. In one they are recycling all the water, and in the other they are letting it drain into a bucket not to be put back through. In only 4 weeks there was a saving of 60 litres of water through recycling. Over a year that equates to 720 litres of water saved for one garden.

Don’t think any of this stops Catherine though, she has meet life in the face and has said; “I can do anything!” and so she does, raising 2 children, finishing a Certificate 4 in Youth services, working at the Salvation Army with the street kids and now gardening.

Catherine uses the ezyGrow garden bed; the height is perfect for the wheelchair allowing Catherine to finally be able to grow her own vegetables and herbs. “I love the freedom the ezyGrow Garden gives me, for the first time, I can do the gardening”

I bought my ezyGrow from the Adelaide Garden Show in March. It is great! I have attached a photo. The best part is the draining hose which saves water, nutrients and time. Another best part is the mobility and stability of the unit.

I am really excited about this latest purchase and would love another one. This one contains herbs and is constantly picked for inclusion in my cooking. I'd love one for flowers too so that I do not have to bend and struggle with watering. Thank you so much for this wonderful innovative product. You've really made my day!

ezyGrow Planters are the perfect item for unit living. While managing 64 units at Riveredge Caboolture we had only a small amount of verandah space and the fact that we were able to grow fresh herbs and vegetables in the space we had available thanks to the ezyGrow Planters was fantastic. We had one planter planted with 11 different types of herbs and a second planted with green leafy vegetables and beans and snow peas. The fact that the ezyGrows have a contained water reservoir meant that the mess due to watering was non existent. To have the ability while living with such limited outdoor area to pop out onto the verandah and have easy access to fresh herbs and vegetables was invaluable. This product is certainly worth having for anyone living in limited space who does not have the luxury of a real garden.
