Nambour Show - Water Chestnuts
The second show we went to last year with our ezyGrow Garden was at the Queensland Garden Show in Nambour. We were quite overwhelmed with the great feedback we got on the product and the various reasons why people wanted one and what gardening issue they would overcome.
One particularly was elderly gentleman in a wheel chair who bought a black ezyGrow planter as he really wanted to grow water chestnuts, which during the growing process need to be flooded.
I was so excited and thrilled when this year he came rolling up to me again at the Nambour Garden show with a picture of his success - with a big smile he told me how with only three plants he now had enough water chestnuts to last him a year, that the product had worked a treat - he had simply extended the hose so that the overflow was higher allowing him to flood the plants when he needed to.
One of the greatest pleasures I have when I go to shows is having people come and tell me their ezyGrow garden stories. We had heaps at Nambour and I really feel our product is making a difference, helping people grow when they couldn't before. |

St Lukes Anglican School
|
Using two ezyGrow garden beds the year 2 students at St Lukes grew a variety of lettuces and marigolds. The students participated in planting, watering and then harvesting the lettuces. The ezyGrow garden beds were perfectly situated right in front of the class room making it an integral part of their day. The students then had a stall and had a day selling Organic Lettuce raising much needed funds for the school.
All round this was a great experience for everyone. The joy of growing and ultimately selling their produce, the students, the teacher, the school and the parents all benefited from growing organic lettuce.

Wheels for your ezyGrow
|
We have been looking for a way to make the ezyGrow Planter mobile. Many of our customers have asked for wheels for the planters so they can move them around.
We have now come up with a simple way that we can do this through the use of small caster wheels with brakes.
We will be making these available as a pack very soon. |
 |
|
The caster wheels just screw on to the bottom of the legs of the ezyGrow planter. They are sturdy and will hold the weight of your garden when it is full.
Although we have tested these and they are fine we need to mention a word of caution when using these on your garden.

Barry's Garden
Barry Davies, owner of ezyGrow Pty Ltd, has started a page showcasing his experiences with the ezyGrow Planters.
Barry has a number of planters around his home and in this picture says; "If your garden doesn't look like this then you need to be feeding it more".
A proponent of organic gardening Barry has trialed a number of different products. From Seasol and Power Feed to Organic Link and Triple Boost. "The key to good healthy herbs and vegies is to feed them well" says Barry.
Barry has also trialed differnt growing mediums. "A premium potting mix is advisable, they may cost a little extra but the benefits outweigh the few extra dollars you will spend". Barry has also experimented with some of the new tightly compressed Coir blocks on the market. "Although a great medium they also need a fair amount of added minerals and liquid fertiliser to get the plants going" Barry explains.
Keep an eye on the "Barry's Garden" page on the ezyGrow website for more experiment results. |

Lyndhurst Childcare Approves
Receintly the Lyndhurst Childcare Centres in Brisbane and Canberra purchased six ezyGrow Planters each. The planters are used as educational aids for the children to learn with.
They are great as the children can all gather around the planters and they are at the right height for them to see into the gardens. They are clean and easy to move around and can be an addition to green space required for accreditation. |
